Low production energy
|
The junction forming process in the manufacture of HIT solar cells requires just 200°C - substantially
less than the 900°C
needed in the thermal diffusion process used for conventional
crystalline solar cells. This low-temperature process makes a substantial contribution toward the
conservation of energy.

Thin form factor
|
HIT solar cells are about 200µm thick - extremely thin in comparison with conventional
crystalline silicon solar cells, which measure around 350µm. The low-temperature manufacturing
process used in making HIT cells decreases thermal stress, making it possible to produce thin
cell wafers and help save on materials.

The HIT 215 Module is suitable for charging a 24v battery bank, however we would strongly
recommend the use of an MPPT (Multi Point Power Tracking) charge controller. An MPPT
