Solar Panels - Solar PV

solar panels for telecoms

Solar panels are defined as "devices that collect and convert solar energy into electricity or heat" (Wikipedia).

Solar panels which produce electricity are also known as 'photovoltaic cells' or 'solar pv modules'. They are often used to generate power for remote applications such as water pumping, lighting, data collection and telecommunications.

A solar panel has no moving parts, and therefore has a very long life. Multiple solar panels can be coupled together into large 'arrays' to provide significant amounts of power.

Solar panels are available in a wide range of sizes, technologies and outputs:

Sanyo HIT Solar PV Panels - Ultra high efficiency "hybrid" solar panels, 215w.

SunPower Solar Panels - High efficiency, ideal for battery charging, 90w.

Kyocera Solar Panels - Latest modules acheive over 16% conversion efficiency, 5w to 200w.

Uni-solar Solar Panels - Amazing technology, no glass, triple junction solar panels, 62 to 64w.

Uni-solar Folding Solar Panels - The ultimate portable solar panels, 34w.
